My Favorite Movie is a film screening and conversation hosted by Mod in partnership with guest curators Robrt Pela and Jill Bernstein. Each event features a luminary figure on the local or national stage, presenting their favorite film and donating the proceeds to a charity of their choosing.
Robrt Pela and Jill Bernstein screen the newest installment in their film series, My Favorite Movie. This time, they’re honoring the late Nick Salerno, whose favorite movie was the George Stevens classic, A PLACE IN THE SUN. Starring Elizabeth Taylor, Montgomery Clift, and Shelley Winters, this gorgeous Oscar-winner is based on a Theodore Dreiser novel. A discussion of the film and of Nick’s love for it will follow.
